The intelligence advisers of the US government have failed to weigh the position the Trump government has placed itself prior to attack of the nuclear facilities of Iran.
First and foremost, the Trump government made itself the moral adviser of Russia and Ukraine and had both countries under his grip as the key mediator who could bring peace to the area.
Secondly, he was able to distance itself from the actions of the Israeli government in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria and was able to present an image of a reasonable man to many.
The two factors that were beginning to affect of the US are the tariffs and the associated trade measures. Now the attack on Iran after the attack by Israeli ties the two governments together. It is becoming very clear that Iran that was previously antagonist to foreign countries like Saudi Arabia and many other Arab countries is now accepted as a prominent member of OIC by Arab countries that were very close allies of the Trump administration.
The focus on nuclear weapons as a deterrent to attack is becoming a myth as Israel and Russia experience inroads in their territories and had never happened in the past. If Israel had not attacked Iran, Iran would have never dared to attack Israel. If the USA had not attacked Iran no one would have imagined that Iran would be awaited by the USA for a response that it is already threatening to meet with further use of force. Hence the action of Israel and the USA, and the reaction of Iran combined is paving the way for greater insecurity of Israel, Iran and the United States.
Nuclear weapons are now becoming white elephants. Countries that have them could be bombed and have their own people die of radiation. Those who do not have them cannot leave those who have them with justification for their use. Suffice it to say, those who have them could only use them for mutual destruction of their countries.
It is irrational to commence the type of war between Iran and Israel, just to deter Iran from having a white elephant that it could never use against France, Britain, Russia, the USA, China and Israel without reciprocity from them. Sound judgment is missing somewhere and is not leading the world to a common destiny of peace and good neighbourliness.
The fundamental foundation of international peace is that one cannot be secure by making another insecure. The USA has lost its moral authority over Russia and Ukraine and has to try very hard to regain the trust of its allies in the Middle East. If Israel does not stop its war in Gaza and accept a two-stage solution; if it fails to make peace in Lebanon and Syria and continues a protracted war with Iran, the standing of the USA in the world would not be as great as president trump has promised his people.
The people of Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Russia and Ukraine are tired of war and destruction. The women and the elderly are worse off. They are not impressed by a mighty world leader that aims to increase death and destruction. They want one who strives to bring peace to Europe and the world over. The great leaders are the peace makers of the world, not the war mongers of the world. This is the verdict of truth, justice and common sense and it is incontrovertible.
