In the first meeting of the president held in Bantanding Wollof in Jokadu, the people complained about poor harvest of groundnut and coos, and warned of the possibility of poor earnings due to poor food and cash crop yields. They also mentioned the poor road facilities in Jokadu and the absence of hospitals and clinics and other amenities in the area. They also gave the impression that the youths will now be engaged and thus negate the backway syndrome.

The women called for gardening inputs so that they could do gardening to offset the losses anticipated.

The President indicated to them that medicines and other gadgets are extremely expensive and could only be available on a piecemeal basis. He indicated that notes were being taken by many people in the crowd.
