Serrekunda West coach Malick Gassama has laid bare his tactic for winning the Super Nawettan title.KICKS DELIVER TITLE TO WEST

SK West managed to beat Sukuta on penalties to snatch the coveted staked prize in under two-years following a goalless draw in regular time.

And speaking of his tactics, Gassama, whose team were reduced to 10 men after Mendy received a second bookable offence, said he urged his players to keep calm and play possession based football.

“We had the same preparation as with other teams. We have young players who are hungry, want to make name (for themselves) and are willing to fight. I told them to relax and play football,” says the former Brufut Zonal gaffer before adding, ‘I’m happy with our fans they have done well. Saturday’s final ended without major incidents in the face of loose security amidst record turnout of spectators at the Serrekunda East mini-stadium.

The ground was chosen as a neutral venue – ideal to traveling fans of both teams –and for its knack for attracting huge football enthusiasts.
