WCI Forum Briefs Entrepreneurs Ahead of Business Forum

The World Cooperation Industries (WCI) Forum in partnership with the Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), on Thursday 29 August 2024, held a one-day seminar with entrepreneurs ahead of the forthcoming October 16 – 17 WCI Forum in Turkey.

The seminar, according to the organizers, was the first to be hosted by the GCCI with the aim of sensitizing business counterparts on the importance of the WCI forum, and to introduce them to the objectives and the process of participating in the forum. 

The WCI Forum is an International B2B networking event that connects business individuals from all over the world, to meet with Turkish manufacturers and exporters, and to make business deals.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Fatou Senghore, the Chairperson of the Gambia / Turkish Business Council said as a chamber, they are dedicated to the growth and development of businesses in the Gambia and said such events play a crucial role in fostering innovation, collaboration and sustainable growth across various industries. 

“The seminar brought some of the leading business experts to share knowledge, experience, and perspectives on the evolving landscape of global industries,’’ she said.

Ambassador Fari Turker, OBA, assured prospective participants of a forum free from criminal activities such as fraud saying: “We will make sure in these kinds of events, you find each other correctly.”

On his part, Mr. Utku Bengisu, the president of the World Cooperation Industries Forum said his organization has been organizing such fora since 2012, to avail business entrepreneurs the opportunity to discover business opportunities in Turkey. 

“We believe that if we can build that SMS between Turkey and Africa, we will be part of change,” he said.
