By Sulayman Bah Gamtel/cel kept alive their hopes of scooping the title after spanking security outfit Interior 3-0. The domineering telecom giants under gaffer Lamin Suwareh were at it again snatching the lead on a 25-16, 25-20 and 25-23. Gamtel’s top scorer Sanu Secka was the cog in his team’s machine in the first set that lasted 20 minutes on 25-16 points. Interior’s coach Ebrima Nyass effected some changes – a devised plan that yielded an immediate six points courtesy of Assan Jallow and Sainey Singhateh reviving Interior’s hopes. But a resolute Sanu Secka was at his best keeping clean sheets to deny the opponents from leveling, ensuring Gamtel picked the points again in the set on 25-20. The telecommunication side nearly fell off in the third set. A warning was supplied prompting coach Suwareh to call for a time out and Gamtel went on to lead in the third and final set again on 25-23. Meanwhile the game in the female league couldn’t proceed due to poor light illumination and rescheduled date for the contest is yet to be named. Interior were leading 2-1 prior to abortion of the game.]]>
