UTG Student Soldier Fadera Released on Bail

By Kebba Jeffang A family source has informed Foroyaa that Mr. Sanna Fadera, a student of the University of the Gambia (UTG) also a member of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) was confirmed to have been released on bail yesterday, Wednesday, 17^th June, 2015 after spending 21 days in the custody of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). Mr. Fadera’s detention has contravened the Constitutional provision of the illegality of detention more than 72 hours. He was arrested since 31^st May, 2015 and released on 17 June 2015 after 17 days in detention. The family has been complaining to Foroyaa about the detention of their loved one who was taking an exam at the time of his arrest. He is studying Biology and Chemistry at the University of The Gambia (UTG). He is also said to be attached to the Bio-Chemist Lab at the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF).    ]]>
