Sheikh Ahmed T Ceesay, a first-year student at the University of The Gambia (UTG), is seeking financial assistance to continue his academic journey at UTG.

Mr. Ceesay, who walked into Foroyaa’s office on Monday 28th July 2021, said he got admission at the UTG but his family cannot afford to pay his tuition fees.

“I sat for my West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in this past academic year (2020) and got my admission at UTG where I am majoring in Economics and minoring Mathematics but I don’t have anybody to pay my tuition fees,” he said.

Ceesay said he was told by his friends that they will commence examination next week but he is yet to secure any scholarship. As of now, he said he is not doing anything that can earn him money. Mr. Ceesay is calling on philanthropists, government, and private institutions to come to his aid.

Any good Samaritan who wants to help Mr. Ceesay can reach him on the following number: 3956682.
