Gambia Young Scorpions are hoping to complete a double legged victory over Sierra Leone tomorrow Saturday at the Independence Stadium.
The Freetown outfit bit the dust in the first phase 2-0. Senegal-based Real de Banjul on-loan starlets Bun Sanneh and Captain Abdoulie Jallow were the architects in ensuring Omar Sise picked the points in his first official qualifier game as Young Scorpions’ manager.
Bun Sanneh raced Gambia into the lead before Jallow rose to the occasion to wreck the Lone Stars’ any hopes of a possible come back into the duel.
The visiting Shooting Stars will hope to restore their campaign by pulling off shocks in Banjul while the hosts target to finish off the job.
Victory seals Gambia ticket to the next round where they must jettison off Morocco in the final round to book a place in the group stage proper of the AYC for Zambia 2017.
Coach Sise will do without Norway-based stars Erik Stafford, Sulayman Isaack Ceesay and Modou Cham who’d since returned after failing to make an impression.
