By Mustapha Jallow Two employees of ‘Facts International Ghana Ltd’, based in Accra, Mr Seth Yaw Kandeh, (a Ghanaian), and Mr Olufemi Erinli Titus (a Nigerian), are still under detention at the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) detention center in the Capital, Banjul. The duo is kept for 21 days and is yet to appear before a court of law. Mr Seth Yaw Kandeh, a Ghanaian is also the Operations Manager at Facts International. According to our sources, the two persons were arrested together with a Gambian lecturer, Mr Matty Jaw, by the state security officers (NIA) on 4 November, 2014 at the Brikama Campus of the University of The Gambia. The two West Africans have been in detention for more than 72 hours without being brought before a court of Law which is contrary to the Constitution of The Gambia. Mr Jaw however was released on bail by the NIA after spending 8 days in custody, but is still reporting on bail on a daily basis whilst the other two West Africans are still detained without bail or arraigned before any court of Law. No reasons have been forthcoming regarding their arrest and subsequent detention at the NIA.  ]]>
