Demba Savage was the highest Gambian scorer based abroad the previous campaign having notched eleven 
goals. But for injury, he’s forced to relinquish the award to Bubacarr Steve Trawally.
With Steve as Moniker, Bubacarr Trawally is a revered personality in Yanbian home to his second division Chinese club. Turning professional only eight months ago, the lanky forward is the hottest Gambian footballer trading overseas.
His 500,000 euro valuation is a far cry to his goal return and club side Yanbian Fc has every reason to smile with a goal machine in no mood to slow down.
His overall season goal is summed up as fifteen –the only player to hit such a figure out of dozen established Gambian scorers in abroad.
Demba Savage has been the country’s goal-getter for two-seasons running, snatching the award from Ibou Sawaneh who netted 19 goals for OH Leuven in 2012/2013 campaign.
With a possibility of scoring two in every three game, star-studded Cameroon have every reason to wary of the threat the 20-year-old –who styles himself as terminator – can cause.
In an interview he accorded to Foroyaa Sport July, Steve tasked himself with a painstaking 20 goal haul. Already he’s five goals shy of reaching the mark with six games to end of the league as Yanbian target promotion to the Super League.]]>
