Tina Faal’s Case Adjourned

On Monday, 19th September 19, 2016 the criminal case involving Mrs.Tina Faal was brought before Principal Magistrate Omar TINA FAALCham of the Banjul Magistrate’s court for continuation.

The former nominated National Assembly member is standing trial on three counts namely: conspiracy, obtaining goods by false pretence and theft.

When the case was called, a police officer identifying himself as Corporal 1519 announced that he was holding brief for Inspector S.Sanyang on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) while Counsel Combeh Gaye appeared for the accused.

The prosecutor told the court that Inspector Sanyang is sick and that he is therefore requesting for an adjournment to a later date.

When there was no objection from the counsel representing the accused, the trial magistrate adjourned the case to the 3rd and 13th of October for continuation at 11:00 am.
