By Sulayman Bah Midfielder Tijan Jaiteh has sent to the Gambia shipment of clothes for donation. The forty-foot loaded container acquisition is as a result of the player’s foundation’s mobilization efforts in Norway where he professionally plies his services. The Tijan Foundation –launched in recent years – seeks support by urging locals most of whom Sandnes’s faithful, the club the Gambian is contracted to, to donate unwanted items for charity beginning from start of the football season. The container, according to the club, contains over 400 t-shirts of Brazil 2014 inscriptions brought within three weeks just before it was sent to the Gambia this past Wednesday. “Sandnes people have been wonderful” says a delighted 25-year-old Tijan Jaiteh. Last year alone, he gave away bicycles and foot wears amongst other items to locals in the Gambia.]]>
