The Authority has invited the Public for a frank and open discussion on the standards of performance of public utilities. Public services should be accessible, affordable and should be delivered with consistency and constancy. The public highlighted the deficiencies of public utilities in terms of inadequacy in accessibility and consistency. Since it is PURA’s role to protect the interest of consumers, it is expected that it will take the complaints into consideration and initiate and conduct investigations into standards of services by public utilities and further monitor and enforce their standards of performance.
