Peter Bassen, a 25 year old tertiary student is seeking financial assistance to pay his tuition fees.

The Old Jeshwang resident said he was first admitted in Brandom Institute of Management in Serrekunda as an ICM student in 2019; that since then, he has been attending classes and doing exams without paying.

“My course is a three year program and I am supposed to do four models for each year before I graduate. Each model costs 32 pound sterling and registration costs 35 pound sterling, equivalent to D11, 084,” Bassen said; that the fee for the entire three year duration is D33, 252, while adding that he has already completed his diploma, but his result cannot be given to him due to lack of payment. Bassen affirmed that his examination result should come from ICM main headquarters in England.

Mr. Bassen decried that his mother Ansel Manneh, is a fish vendor at Latrikunda market and currently the breadwinner of the family because his father Albino Bassen, died in 2015.

“Since the death of my father, my mother has been struggling to keep the family afloat, at a time when she is not financially stable to pay for my tuition fee,” he said.

Bassen calls on the Government, philanthropists, NGOs and individuals to come to his aid to finance his education.

For any assistance, he can be contacted on 3200830 or his mother on 3861455.
