Teranga FM Radio Station, was picked up on Thursday, 2 July, 2015
after the breaking of the fast by some men who came with a black
pajero vehicle and then taken away to an unknown destination.Mr. Amadou Ceesay, the younger brother, said Alhaji Abdoulie managed
to call him on his phone to tell him that he was being taken away by
operatives of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) but that the line
eventually went dead.
“This incident happened immediately after the breaking of the fast
when a boy came to our home and told Alhaji Abdoulie that some people
are waiting for him at the radio station. When he went and found them
there they asked him to go with them in a waiting vehicle which drove
off,” said the younger brother.
He said they have been searching for Mr. Ceesay at many places of
detention but could not trace him.
“We have been to the NIA in Banjul and to several police stations but
were told that Alhaji Abdoulie was not held by them,” said a concern
brother.
