As another School year closes, financially challenged families have begun another season of moving across the length and breadth of the country, to solicit support for their loved ones who transit from one level in their educational careers to another.

It is because of this that Babucarr Mbye, an eleven-year-old teenager, is soliciting sponsorship from the Government of the Gambia, non-governmental organisations, and individual philanthropists, to enable him to pursue his educational journey at a time when his parents struggle to put food on the table for the family.

In a letter addressed to Foroyaa, young Baboucarr Mbye wrote:

“I really need sponsors for my education. I have seen how my parents struggle to feed us and this makes it extremely difficult for them to pay for my School fees.’’

Mbye said he would be grateful to any individual, institution, or NGO, who comes to his aid to pursue his educational career at the Upper Basic level, after graduating from Lower Basic School. He said he would be forever grateful to anyone who sponsors his educational career and promised to furnish anyone with the results of his exams to prove his intelligence.

Anyone who wants to assist Babucarr Mbye, please call the following Mobile Number: 6677462 or contact the Foroyaa Office.
