Gambia’s indoor men volleyball out fit were due to join up in Congo but for funding issues couldn’t fly out in time leading to their disqualification. Team athletics have been boosted by the inclusion of Adama Jammeh who recently crashed out of the IAAF World Championship in China. In Beijing, Jammeh missed out on grabbing an automatic qualification spot to the Rio 2016 Olympics. In Congo though, the man poached from the country’s prisons department and considered the most prolific track sensation in recent moments, will have final chance to secure a place in the Rio Games. ‘The team left yesterday (Tuesday) for Congo and are seven including the coach,’ Capi Joof athletics association boss told Foroyaa Sport yesterday.]]>
