Abdoulie Ceesay, the Taranga FM manager, who could not appear in court on Monday owing to his hospitalization over the weekend, has now been discharged from hospital yesterday and returned to the remand wing of Mile 2 prison, according to a close family source.
Mr. Ceesay, who is standing trial on allegations of ‘false news publication’ and ‘sedition’ at the Banjul high court before Justice Simeon Ateh Abi, was reported to have collapsed on Sunday night at the remand wing of the central prison and admitted in the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul on the same day .
The source said the radio manager was admitted in the Accident and Emergency Unit of the hospital where he was said to be receiving treatment before he was taken back to remand.
