The suspension of Mr Momodou Camara, an employee of the Social Security and Housing Corporation (SSHFC), is yet to be settled. The staffs have been demanding the reinstatement of Momodou Camara, a chartered accountant, senior audit manager and Staff Representative on the Board of Directors of SSHFC, who was suspended last week.

The CDS, Lt Gen. Masanneh Kinteh assured the staff on Tuesday that Mr Camara would be reinstated though no timeline was given. Yesterday, according to reliable sources a letter was received by the SSHFC office from the office of the president to facilitate a meeting between the staff and the Minister of Finance, Mr. Mambury Njie as directed by the President Adama Barrow.

However, a response was sent to the office of the president, indicating that they cannot hold such meeting without the revocation of the suspension of Mr. Momodou Camara. The SSHFC staff said they are anticipating the revocation of the suspension of Mr. Camara as they await a response from the office of the president.

Some months ago, Mr Camara on behalf of the staff he represents on the SSHFC Board presented a petition to the President making serious allegations against the current Managing Director, Mr Muhammed Manjang, calling for his removal.
