Awa Barry, an Upper Basic Student is seeking for assistance to enable her to sit for her grade nine exams.

The 18-year-old said their exam fee is three thousand dalasis (D3000), but her parents cannot afford to pay it for her owing to their financial status.

The 18-year-old completed her grade 8 at Yundum Upper Basic School and wants sponsors and philanthropists to sponsor her in order for her to sit for her GABECE Exams. She said without paying this amount, she wouldn’t be able to sit for her exams.

“My parents cannot afford that amount and I need help from people and institutions,” she said.

She said she has been seeking for support for almost a year, but she is yet to get a positive reply.

She called on Government, NGOs, Philanthropists and benevolent people to support her so that she can complete her grade 9.
