By Sulayman Bah A new boss will soon be named by the National Sports Council after Lamin King Colleyfive individuals are short-listed for the Executive Secretary vacant job, Foroyaa Sport can reveal. The NSC wouldn’t disclose names of candidates just yet but a new man is expected to be announced in days to come after the candidates were interviewed by a panel. The process, this paper understands, is being slowed by endorsement which has to come from the Council’s chairman Lamin King Colley who is to subject the suitable candidates’ dossier, compiled by the panel, under review and then pass it to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for formal endorsement. This comes after the council put up the position for advertisement last month. Considered the highest portfolio at the council, the post was declared vacant after Abdul Aziz Titao Mendy was relieved of his duties by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS). The erstwhile Armed Forces gaffer was once boss of the technical arm of government early this year when he rose to the position of Executive Director –the first to have served in that capacity since the rebranding of the post from Executive Secretary – before he was reassigned as programme officer –the last role he handled prior to the termination of his service.  ]]>
