By Sulayman Bah The country’s Sport Act is the subject of reviewing by the MOYSEbou Secka 1 along with a select committee, Foroyaa Sport can report. The move to put the Act, under study, is in line with the NSC plans to effect sweeping changes and set up standard criterion for all affiliate member-associations. The reason for ensuring amendments to the act according to the Sports Council is aimed at putting in place proper structures that fit and accommodate its affiliate bodies with a view to putting to bed problems dogging Gambian sports. Being reviewed by the Ministry of youth and sports, the act will then be presented to stakeholders who will brainstorm on it and make possible further recommendations at an all-stakeholders’ forum to be called soon, says Sports Council’s Ebou Secka. “We want to call for a stakeholders’ forum and we want by next year for all associations to attain the standard criterion required, but they would have approved and endorsed the Act,”Ebou Secka told Foroyaa Sport.]]>
