SK West leads way in Basket ball league

Serrekunda West is leading the ongoing national Basketball competition making it five wins in five consecutiveSK West leads way in Basket ball league outings.

Amassing ten points, scoring a total of four-hundred and four baskets with an average net of eighteen, sees the West side unsurprisingly leading the way but only a point ahead of title contenders Young Men Christian Association of the Gambia (YMCA) who’ve been an impressive unit so far.

YMCA has a total of three hundred and thirty-four in number of basket they’ve scored on nine points averaging sixty-eight in five games.

Bakau United comes third closely behind West and YMCA and have played six games, more than any team in the male league. United are on three hundred and forty-four in baskets scored according to results obtained from the Gambia Basketball Association.

Olympic Afrique are ranked fourth best with only four games played with two wins and two defeats. Lamin United are fifth, Kotu Blue Ninja sixth, Brikama seventh, Banjul eight, Old School ninth, Kotu United at tenth and Victory Creators at rock bottom losing all games in three outings.

Meanwhile, in the Women league YMCA occupy top spot, making it two wins in two, SK West second, Late Babou Sowe, Kotu Blue Ninja and Bakua United at 2nd, 3rd,4th and 5th respectively.
