The answer to this question is in the negative.

It is a golden rule in law that ‘Justice delayed is justice denied’.

Of course every reasonable Gambian would agree with the view that any politically motivated case should be settled politically and diplomatically. That is what all reasonable persons would say regarding the case of the UDP leader and the supporters of his party.

The fact that a judge has recused from the case, confirms all the more the need for the Attorney General’s Chambers to explore the possibilities of putting the case to an end at the shortest possible time.
