Savage expected to beef up Hacken

Demba Savage is tipped to bolster BK Hacken and spur the club’s drive for European Football next year after Demba Savage 4joining the Swedish outfit last week.

The player ended his love affair with HJK after four years at the Finnish club.

The forward quits the capital club to join Swedish giants Hacken a free agent after elapse of his contract signed in 2011.

The 27-year-old transferred to HJK from fellow Viekkausliiga’sHonka Espoo, a side he helped to scoop the Finnish Premier League title on back-to-back basis and reach to the Uefa Champions League qualifiers and the Europa group stage.

The former Gambia Ports Authority ace has been courting interests from a number of suitors including clubs from Denmark but found temptation to move to BK Hacken too strong to turn down.

The Scorpion’s contract duration is believed to be a three-year deal. Savage, considered a major signing is now expected to bolster Hacken’s fortunes especially in the aspect of goals after scoring fifty-six goals and assists for HJK.

Finnish outfit with only two Gambians in their pay books: Ousman Jallow and Macoumba Kandji.

Dubbed Dea, a highly revered Demba is HJK’s most successful Gambian import in the club history.
