Gaffer Sang Ndong could be set to miss on the flair Demba Savage provided in the national team after the Demba Savage 3winger contacted a mild concussion, Foroyaa Sport can report.

Now trading his services with Swedish top club BK Hacken, erstwhile Finnish Premier League Most Valuable Player could be on the brink of missing on chance to star for new scorpions’ coach after getting on the wrong end of a challenge.

Though leaflet containing names of invited foreign-based Gambian footballers hasn’t been made available yet by the new manager, the 27-year-old who’d been a regular for the senior team could be inevitably overlooked should he fail to recover in time.

Savage has featured three times for his new club mainly in the Swedish Cup and last played against Gefle March 5th coming off the bench. He’s believed to have got the mild concussion in action for his club but scans conducted later showed he needed some days rest.

If the Hacken midfielder is one of those invited for March 25th game against Mauritania it means he faces race against time to fully recuperate before 20th March  -the set date for all over-seas based players to fly in and camp.

This is the second time the ex-Gambia Ports Authority man is getting diagnosed with concussion the first been int the first-leg against Namibia which prompted his exclusion in the second-leg in Windhoek.

Meanwhile, defender-cum midfielder Kabba Sambou, it has emerged is also one of Senegal-based Gambian players called to the senior team.

Sambou who plays for Stade de Mbour after joining from Hawks of Banjul only recently, has impressed Sang Ndong.

The other players known to be on the list are Kebba Ceesay and Alieu Jatta of Senegal’s Generation Foot.
