Mr. Victor Bockarie Foh, the Vice-President of the Republic of Sierra Leone after holding talks with President 
Adama Barrow told journalists that his mission in the country is to strengthen the bilateral relation between the two countries particularly under the newly found atmosphere of democracy.
The meeting was held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Kairaba Beach Hotel, temporal state house of President Barrow.
VP Foh said “the recent change of Democracy and Governance in the Gambia and Sierra Leone will further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries and we will continue to work even harder to ensure that the ties are stronger than ever.”
He added that during the settling of the political impasse, the president of Sierra Leone was part of the delegation that came and they are grateful for the hospitality he received during his stay in the Gambia.
He stated that President Koroma and Barrow have the same background when it comes to business and he believes that the two will work together to strengthen the two nations’ bilateral-relationship.
“We Africans have to dialogue and work together to make Africa the best continent and try to ensure the peaceful transition of power when the time is due for a sitting president to leave office rather than fighting against each other,” he said.
He added that Gambia is a country for Gambians thus there is need for respect for each other.
Mr. Foh said the Gambia has always been a peaceful and friendly country in the sub-region especially with the new found Democracy.
