Momodou L. Jarju, popularly known as Rongo, donated seven red traffic cones valued at over 10,000 dalasis to the Banjulinding Police Station on Friday, May 16, 2025.

The donation aims to assist the police in managing and controlling traffic flow within the Banjulinding area.

“These cones were procured through a joint effort between me and Aziz. Living in Banjulinding, I have witnessed firsthand how tirelessly the police work to protect pedestrians and ease traffic congestion. This inspired me to support their efforts,” Rongo said.

He praised the police for their responsiveness to traffic challenges in the community, noting that their efforts have significantly contributed to protecting lives and boosting confidence among residents and road users.

“This is part of my commitment to supporting local communities. The government cannot do it alone; it is a collective responsibility to contribute in any way we can,” he added.

Station Officer Pa Musa Sanyang of Banjulinding Police Station expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting that the cones will enhance the police’s ability to manage traffic and save lives.

“We welcome such a gesture as it strengthens our work and promotes patriotism. This is what love for your country looks like,” Sanyang said.
