Foroyaa has been reliably informed that new changes have been effectedRESHUFFLE AT THE AGRIC MINISTRY
at the top levels of the ministry of agriculture, whose ‘deputy’
minister, Mr. Ousman Jammeh, was relieved of his post last week and
subsequently detained.Mr. Falalo Touray, who was Permanent Secretary number one until the
removal of Mr. Jammeh, has now been redeployed to the position of head
of the Central Project Coordinating Unit (CPCU) under the agriculture
ministry.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sait Drammeh, the Director General of the Department of
Agriculture, is now appointed as Permanent Secretary number one
replacing Mr. Touray, with effect from 15October, 2015.

When contacted on Tuesday, 20October, 2015, Mr. Touray confirmed the story.

He said as agricultural workers they should serve the country and
engage themselves professionally.

He called on the project directors under the CPCU to master the
documents relating to the projects placed under their charge and to
implement the activities according to the project designs.

Mr. Touray said gone are the days for finger pointing or putting blame
on others but that they should work together as professionals in the
service and development of the Gambia.
