Real de Banjul reduced capital rivals Wallidan to shreds thrashing the
Blue Boys 3-0 to go top of the table one point ahead of Gamtel.
Gamtel had led ahead of Real-Wallidan derby game but the All Whites
ensured they pounced on the chance to go on top drubbing theiradversaries three unanswered goals. Goals from Yankuba Jarju Omar Jobe
and Famara Jarju sealed it for gaffer Amat Cham’s side past Wallidan
who were without coach Foday Bah, out of the country on Hungary
coaching scholarship.
Up-and-coming striker Yankuba Jarju rifled in the opener benefitting
from a rebound after the goalie had palmed forward Abdoulie Jallow’s
goal-bound shot as Real led 1-0 up at break.
Resumption saw an array of substitutions but it was champions Real
who turned on the heat again this time Famara Jarju turning provider
for fresh leg Omar Jobe to double the lead.
A derby Wallidan fans would wish to easily forget wasn’t to end with
man of the moment Famara Jarju getting his slice of the cake tapping
with inside of his foot after Abdoulie had fed him through.
Real now lead the way on nineteen points in nine matches. Elsewhere
