Consumer Protection Association of The Gambia (CPAG) and partners launch the Gambia’s Farmers Market
BANJUL, THE GAMBIA – 19 November 2015
CPAG, ASSET, ESG and stakeholders are joining the global campaign to mark Green Action Week for 2015. The theme is “Safe and more sustainable food for all”. In this connection, CPAG and partners are organizing the first “GOOD MARKET” event in the Gambia which will take place on Sunday 22 and 29 November 2015 from 12-8 pm at ASSET Bantaba, Kololi.
The GOOD MARKET will promote sustainable farmed and produced Gambian natural, fresh, processed and prepared foods; natural health, beauty and well-being products; and create a connection between producers and consumers.
The project is supported by the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC).
ABOUT CPAG
The Consumer Protection Association of The Gambia (CPAG) is a non-profit, non-partisan, membership organization founded in 2005 to promote consumer protection and rights in The Gambia. CPAG is the first Gambian association to be a member of the UK-based Consumers International (CI). The affairs of CPAG are managed by an Executive Council with members responsible for various consumer protection issues such as public health, food safety, utilities, finance, quality infrastructure, the environment, etc.
