President Barrow demands establishment of performance appraisal instrument

President Adama Barrow has demanded the establishment of performance appraisal mechanism for improved productivity in the public service as new cabinet ministers were sworn-in following the cabinet’s reshuffle last week.

‘I request the Ministry of Public Service to immediately design performance appraisal instruments for use by the Commission this year,’ he stated.    

Barrow officiated the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Cabinet Ministers on Thursday.

The newly sworn-in includes Minister of Interior, Abdoulie Sanyang; Minister of Basic Secondary Education, Haddy Jatou Sey; Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Nani Juwara, and Minister of Information, Dr. Ismaila Ceesay.

The ceremony saw the swearing-in of Minister of Tourism and Culture, Abdoulie Jobe, and Minister of Lands and Regional Governance, Hamat N.K Bah.

Two other newly appointed members of the Public Service Commission were sworn in.
