The doctor is said to have discovered that the child had moved from the normal position and operation had to be effected to save both mother and child. One could imagine what could have happened if they did not reached a hospital with the facilities to conduct operations. Poor transportation in areas is a major cause of maternal mortality and should be addressed.  ]]>
