A Gambian on Monday made the huge jump from sixth tier football to the English Ebrima AdamsPremier League.

Ebrima Adams joined from Dartford Football Club, a side in the National League South division following completion of his medical at the Canaries.

Ebou had been scouted a number of times by clubs from the Championship, League One and Two but Norwich City won the race with their tagging as a big club a major influence in swaying the young Gambian’s mind.

The 20-year-old midfielder who’d won the manager and player’s player of the year awards during his stay in Dartford, will join Norwich’s U-21s with hope of breaking into the first-team in the future.

‘I am happy to have signed for Norwich City FC –can’t wait to see what my future holds at this great club. Thanks to DFC Commercials and DFC for having me and I loved the experience. I hope you guys enjoyed my service there,’ he wrote on Twiter after signing a contract.

Adams who idolizes Real Madrid’s Luca Modric becomes the second Gambian to have switched to an EPL club of recent after Modou Barrow’s move to Swansea City.

While England may come lurking around giving Ebou grew up there, playing for Gambia still remains a high possibility though.

The midfielder is on a reported 18-month deal subject to renewal.
