Police Still Investigating Electrocution Incident in Kerr Gallo

The Gambia Police Force (GPF) is still investigating an apparent case of electrocution that happened in Kerr Galo, Lower Niumi District in the North Bank Region.

On 9 October 2024, 7 workers of BB Electricals, an electrical company subcontracted by KEI Constructions got electrocuted while erecting an electrical pole which eventually came in contact with a high-tension cable.

Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Modou Musa Sisawo, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the GPF informed Foroyaa that they are still investigating the Kerr Gallo electrocution incident.

“We will certainly update the public once it is completed,” he said.

He said they launched an investigation into the matter the moment the Barra Police Station received the information about the incident. 

“We are investigating the incident. We want to establish the circumstances around the incident and find out whether it was an error, mistake or deliberate. It is important for us to know,” he said.
