Police Release Alleged Murder Suspect After Concluding the Deceased Committed Suicide

 The spokesperson of the Gambia Police Force Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, Modou Musa Sisawo, said the Police have released a 60-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murdering a 17 year old girl.

The Police Spokesperson said the suspect was released by the Police after they considered the case to be a suicide.

“The father of the late Fatou Drammeh, the 17-year-old student who fell from the third floor of a storey building in Latrikunda Sabaji has been discharged by the police,” the police spokesperson told Foroyaa.

He said the police have considered the matter to be a suicide case instead of murder.

Readers could recall that one late Fatou Drammeh, a 17-year-old student residing in Latrikunda Sabiji was on Saturday, 13th April 2024, reported to have fallen from the third floor of a storey building and died.

The police initially said that they were investigating the matter and arrested the father, but he was not charged.

 The victim was a student of Latrikunda Sabiji School.
