The Public Relations Officer of the Gambia Police Force (GPF), Cadet Assistant Superintendent Modou Musa Sisawo, has said that Police in Brikama in the West Coast Region have responded to reports of a woman found dead by hanging, between the villages of Jambanjelly and Kassakunda.
“The deceased has been identified as Adama Awa Baldeh, 27-year-old, a housewife from Kassakunda,” the police spokesperson reports, adding that the Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
He said further updates would be provided as the case develops.
This follows another suspected suicide that happened in Dobong Village in the CRR, with the motive of the growing suicide incidents still unknown.
