The Spokesperson of the Gambia Police Force (GPF) Cadet Assistant Superintending Modou Musa Sisawo said he cannot confirm whether Mr Alagie Borra was arrested or detained in any of the police stations.
“I went to Kairaba Police Station this morning (Monday 4th October 2023) and found Alagie Borra at the station. He came to report because he is currently under bail. I left him at the police station and went back, but I cannot confirm whether he was arrested or detained,” he said.
Foroyaa has received information suggesting that Alagie Borra was arrested and detained at the Kairaba Police Station when he went to report because he was under bail.
The report indicated that Alagie Borra was under bail and was supposed to report at the said police station on daily basis.
“Alagie Borra went to report at the said station and when he reached there he was arrested and detained at the same station,” the report stated.
This reporter went to the said station to confirm whether Mr Borra was detained, but he could not see Alagie Borra and was informed that Mr Borra was not at the station.
Alagie Borra was contacted several times by this reporter on his telephone numbers (Africell and Qcell) but he was not picking the calls.
