PALACE COUP OR A RESIGNATION IN BANGLADESH?

Bangladesh had to wage a war to gain her independence. This created a situation where the children of the liberation fighters are given more prominence than the rest of the children in Bangladesh society. As unemployment increased in Bangladesh, those who are left out began to show their dissatisfaction through demonstration.

The reaction of the government was very coercive, thus leading to deaths and injuries. This angered the population all the more and they headed towards the state house. Apparently the prime minister could not survive the upheaval. The army stepped in only for its head to announce the resignation and departure of the prime minister and asking the president to preside over the installation of a new government.
