Pa Modou Jagne will today face French club Bordeaux in the Europa
League group stage.
The left-back who has been a big hit with Swiss club FC Sion will
again be tasked to help marshal Bordeaux after playing a big part in
the one-all draw with English side Liverpool at Anfield.One of Gambia’s most consistent exports abroad, Jagne renowned as Nda,
will be the star attention over here at home, with Gambian fans
expected to watch this cracking episode.
FC Sion initially tagged as underdogs, top group B on four points
after two matches with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool joint second while
Rubin Kazan sits bottom of the group.
Pa Modou and co will extend their lead at the summit should they pull off a
surprise at the Stade de Bordeaux today.
Nda, 26, will be joined by Kebba Ceesay in the Europa League with his
Lech Poznan outfit playing against Fiorentina in Italy. Poznan are
second from bottom on a single point in group I temporarily topped by
Basel.
All matches are set to start today evening 5:pm and 7pm respectively.
The Europa League is the second most competitive club tourney in
Europe.
