According to a family source, Mr Jaiteh has been in detention for a period of 113 days without being released, arraigned or granted bail. The members added that they are denied access to him. The family source told Foroyaa that the reason (s) for his arrest and long detention has not been put forward to them. He was later traced at the NIA headquarters in Banjul where the family was initially allowed to be taking food to him which stopped after five days. “We have been allowed access to him for about five days when he was detained at the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) in Banjul but could not see him since then,” said our source. Mr. Jaiteh is said to be fifty two years old and has two wives and a child.  ]]>
