By Sulayman Bah Bangladesh-based Gambian coach Omar Sise has accepted a coaching jobGambian coach Omar Sise offered to him by Gambia Football Federation. Sise was among three Gambian coaches offered positions to take up the managerial positions of Gambia’s U-20, U-17 and U-23/ teams.The other two are Bonu Johnson and Matarr Mboge, who have both began work since to prepare for the coming friendly against Mauritania, slated for March 27th. Omar, the erstwhile Dinamo Zagreb youth team product, was appointed pending his acceptance of the proposal. But a reliable source at the GFF disclosed that the 38-year-old – the only known Gambian coaching in Asia – has finally nodded to the offer by sending his acceptance on Tuesday. Sise, who also had stints in Switzerland and Slovenia while being a footballer, will be handling the Gambia U-20s. Currently the coach of Feni Soccer Club, an outfit trading the Bangladesh Premier League, Omar was voted coach of the year last year in the eastern Asia top tier. While in Bangladesh he had helped a number of Gambian players with contracts to clubs there.]]>
