position of Minister of Fisheries. Mr Gai is replaced by Mr Lamin Nyabally who still retains his portfolio of minister of presidential affairs and secretary general and head of civil service.
Mr Gai first served under the Jammeh administration as Minister of youth and sports from 2008 to 2009. He was then appointed as minister of fisheries and water resources on 17 October 2012, a position he held till his removal yesterday. Prior to his second appointment he had been appointed ambassador to Guinea Bissau in 2010 and high commissioner to Senegal in 2012.
Mr Lamin Nyabally replaced Dr Kalilu Bayo as minister of presidential affairs and secretary general and head of civil service on 8 January 2015. In addition to this he now assumes the position of minister of fisheries.
