The Nioro Youths Association has initiated a self-funded street lighting project aimed at improving the village’s infrastructure.
The initiative aims at brightening the village, enhancing safety and convenience for residents.
Strategic locations, including junctions, social gathering spots, and essential facilities like wells, have been identified for the initial phase of light pole installation.
“While the current funds may not cover the entire village, this is just the beginning,” explained Mr Modika Bah, the project’s logistics head.
“We aim to implement this project in phases, gradually brightening every corner of our community.”
The youth-led initiative is entirely self-funded, with individual members contributing to the project.
Inspired by the project’s momentum, Mr Ebrima Sowe, a committee member, encouraged his fellow youths to sustain their support.
