Staged at the stadium boardroom, Colley’s appointment marks end of a rancor that beset the association coming on the back of suspension of the GJA’s erstwhile executives by Sports Council.

This new move it’s hoped, signals a fresh start for the body, ultimately bringing an end to the interim committee’s mandate at the helm.

The new executive promised to liaise with stakeholders to spread the sport’s tentacles around the country including helping lead a campaign to promote it in schools.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, Saturday witnessed the awarding of certificates to CAF B and C license coaches drawn from the country’s divisions after they underwent a course.
