As part of its efforts to digitalize its entire system, the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC) has introduced what it called a new Management Information System (MIS) for institutions and esteemed customers.

The main digitalization, according to the officials, is to promote transparency and accountability, enhance efficiency, and ensure access to services.

Held at a local hotel in Bakau, the event brought together representatives from various institutions, including hotels, and SSHFC staff among others. The engagement with stakeholders was
initiated to familiarize them with the system’s functionalities.
Malang Saloum, Managing Director SSHFC described the system as a significant milestone in SSHFC’s history, saying the system will help promote efficiency, transparency, accountability, and reliability.
“You can sit in your office and register comfortably without any challenges,” he remarked. “We deeply value the partnership and collaboration we share with each of you,’’ he says.
“It is designed not only to help stakeholders better understand features in the system, but will equip them with the necessary skills to navigate and make the most of its capabilities,’’ added SSHFC boss.

MD Saloum views the step as a collective effort to ensure that the SSMIS contributes to improving the work of the SSHFC across the board.
Abdoulie Tambedou, whose tenure the project commenced.,commended the Gambia Government for creating an environment that is enabling all to progress.
For his part, Fabuka Njaay, the Director of Corporate Affairs at SSHFC, said that complaints can be lodged and tracked through the newly introduced system.
“Institutions can engage the corporation, and we will deliver happily as expected,” he assured.
Njaay encouraged all esteemed members to embrace the digitalization drive.
