Nawettan around the country’s recognized zones is at fever pitch.
At Serrekunda West, Old Jeshwang battered Jantabi two unanswered goals in an early kick-off while Ta-Babi got one better of Old-Hands. Still at West, DK United are left weeping after the zone’s nawettan committee opted to hand Kanifing United the three points.
The verdict came on the heels of an appeal lodged by their opponents claiming DK United used an ineligible player who is serving suspension from last year for using profanity on a referee.
Findings by the committee confirmed Kanifing Layout’s claims who decided to strip DK of the points –despite their 1-0 win -, giving it to Kanifing instead.
