Jainaba Ceesay, a mother and resident at Sancha Sulai Jobe, is seeking sponsorship for her daughter’s education.

According to Madam Ceesay, her daughter Saffiatou Kalokoh, is currently attending Advance Basic Cycle School and is in Grade 8; indicating that she has been sent away from School for not paying her School fees which amounts to D10, 050 for the whole year, with the first term amounting to D4, 550.

Madam Ceesay said her daughter’s education is one of her main priorities, but faces risk to see her drop out of School. The mother of four said Saffiatou’s father divorced her in 2014 and now lives in Ziguinchor; adding that since then, she has been taking care of her family and ensuring her daughter excels in education.

She therefore urged Government, philanthropists, NGOs and individuals to come to her aid by sponsoring her daughter’s education; saying that Saffiatou’s past School fees were paid by sponsors.

A grandfather to Saffiatou, Demba Touray, said his grand-daughter is intelligent and she performs very well in Class; thus they cannot afford to see her drop out of School. He said Saffiatou’s father left his family and has since stopped taking care of his children’s wellbeing. He urged all good Samaritans to sponsor his granddaughter’s education.
