Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, Modou Musa Sissawo, the Public Relations Officer of the Gambia Police Force confirmed the discovery of a dead body in a stream in Manjai Kunda Bridge, Kanifing Municipality.
“The Police were alerted to a report of a deceased body found at ManjaiKunda Bridge. The police immediately reported to the scene and the deceased has been identified as Ousman Ceesay, a 10-year-old boy,” PRO Sissawo reported.
Sisawo revealed that the family of the deceased informed the police that the deceased left home three days ago to go to swimming at the Manjai Bridge, and since then they have not seen or heard from him. His body was discovered on Tuesday at the bridge.
“This is a developing story, and the public will be updated as the investigation continues and more information becomes available,” he noted.
