MINISTRY OF HEALTH SHOULD TAKE ALL MEDIA HOUSES ON A CONDUCTED TOUR OF EBOLA DETECTION FACILITIES AT BORDERS

Prevention goes hand in hand with protective gears and adequate facilities to quarantine or transport suspects in order to take them to tests. Foroyaa reporters have been visiting the borders but are yet to be taken around to see all the facilities available to deal with any emergency situation. How to handle the first contact is what would contain or facilitate the spreading of the illness. It is important for the Health Ministry to increase public confidence by organising a tour to border posts to demonstrate its preparedness. The media could best convince the people by publishing what is seen rather than publish only what it is told. The WHO should also organised missions to countries at risk and visit all border posts to find out whether the required level of preparedness has been put in place and provide advice and support to remedy any inadequacies.  ]]>
